The table shows reports prepared by Turtle Watch summarizing annual sea turtle nesting on Panama City Beach and impacts of artificial lighting going back to 2014.
The table provides links to historical data for nests, false crawls, and strandings found during the 34-year period from 1991 to 2024. Included are raw data files (spreadsheet compatible) along with variable definitions for the table entries. Choosing links in the table will open ArcGIS apps allowing the data to be shown on maps and filtered on time period and species. Data shown here should be considered preliminary and not endorsed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the state agency responsible for managing sea turtles in the state of Florida. Use of this data requires the explicit written consent of FWC.
